On-Site Storage Containers Where the Storage Units Aren't

Storage options thin out fast north of Kawartha Lakes. If you're building, renovating, or just running out of room at a cottage around Haliburton, Minden, or the lakes in between, hauling everything to a self-storage facility an hour away doesn't make sense. A storage container on your own property does. We deliver 8'x20' steel sea containers from our base in Fenelon Falls: close enough that delivery into Haliburton County is practical, unlike the container companies trucking up from the GTA.

Because of the distance, Haliburton and cottage country deliveries are for longer-term rentals: think a construction season, a multi-month renovation, or year-round storage at the cottage. The container stays as long as you need it. Cottagers use them for dock equipment, water toys, and furniture through the off-season. Builders keep tools and materials locked up on remote sites. When you're done, we come get it.

Closer to home? See our regular Kawartha North service area for month-to-month delivery, or Kinmount and Norland if you're on the county line. Give us a call and we'll figure out what works.

Common Questions

Portable Storage FAQ: Haliburton & Cottage Country

Do you deliver storage containers to Haliburton County?
Yes, for longer-term rentals. Haliburton, Minden, and the cottage country around them are a longer haul from our Fenelon Falls base, so we deliver there when the container is staying a while: a season, a build, or year-round storage. Call us with your location and timeline and we'll give you a straight answer.
What does delivery to Haliburton cost?
It depends on where you are. Delivery inside our Kawartha North service area is a flat $100 each way; Haliburton County is quoted by distance. Call with your address and we'll price it out on the spot.
Is there a minimum rental term for cottage country?
There's no fixed number, but these deliveries need to make sense for both of us. If you need a container for a few months or longer, we're interested. If you need two weeks of storage, we're probably not the right fit that far north.
Can you place a container at a seasonal or water-access cottage?
If a delivery truck can reach the spot, yes: cottage lanes, gravel drives, and tight corners are normal for us. Water-access-only properties are a no. Describe your property when you call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's doable.
Will the container handle a Haliburton winter?
Yes. These are ocean-going steel sea cans: snow load, freeze-thaw, and blowing rain are nothing to them. Your gear stays dry from November through April without you checking on it.
The Container

160 Square Feet of Steel, Parked on Your Property

Every unit is a standard 8'x20' shipping container: 160 square feet, ground-level, solid steel. Built to cross oceans, so a cottage country winter is no threat. Load your dock, furniture, tools, and toys, lock it, and forget about it until spring.

Winters Unattended

Load it in the fall, lock it, and don't think about it again until spring.

Cottage-Lane Delivery

Gravel drives, tight lanes, and back roads are normal for us: we place it where you want it.

Weather Tight

Built to withstand the high seas, these containers keep your belongings 100% dry in even the most severe Ontario storms.

Ground-Level Access

No ramps, stairs, or elevators. Drive right up to the doors and load your heavy items with ease.
